Mike Addis

    It with much sadness I am informing everyone of the passing  John MIKE Addis. He passed peacefully last night, August 31st at 8:13 pm at the Suncoast Hospice Center in Largo. He will be laid to rest at the Bay Pines National Cemetery. Mike’s love and passion was always the American Legion beginning in 1969 when he joined the post in his hometown in Galesburg. He was Commander there in 1972. Since then he has held many positions in the American Legion, all with dignity and honor. Mike was a member of Post 104, Pinellas Park. Mike cared and mentored many young Legionnaires. He was a Navy Veteran. Mike is survived by his wife, Caron, and a brother, Pat. Services at Bay Pines set to be September 12, 2019 at 11am.

Born in Minneapolis, MN

Jim was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran with a 27-year career in Military Avionics with Honeywell, retiring in Florida. As a 12-year American Legion member, he held multiple positions including Post Commander, Adjutant and 16th District Vice Commander. His hobbies were golf, cooking, watching football and socializing with friends. Most of all, Jim loved his family. His wife Sandy of 29 years, son Barry and wife Kim, and his 3 grandchildren, Madison, Cole and Savannah.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11:00am at the Bay Pines National Cemetery Columbarium Wall, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St Petersburg, FL 33708

Celebration of Life will follow at the American Legion Post 158, 111 108th Ave, Treasure Island, FL 33706
