  16th District Auxiliary

Unit Officers  2017-2018

Liz Close - District President

February 26, 2018

Dear Patriot and Parade Enthusiast:

The Auxiliary Unit of American Legion Post 238 – Safety Harbor and our Post Family is pleased to announce that we will again sponsor the Fourth of July parade in 2018.  This is a special year as it is the 10th anniversary of the Parade!  It’s hard to believe that ten years could pass so quickly. We are asking that EVERY Unit in the Parade acknowledge this special event in some way.  Please display a sign or banner which says Happy 10th Anniversary, Congratulations, a cake, confetti;   whatever you choose - use your imagination.  Let’s make it special.
The Parade will commence at 10:00 A.M. EDT with a line-up time of 9:00 A.M.  The route will be directly down Main Street from Bayshore Drive to 9th St.  We will line-up as we did in 2017 and we are very excited!
Our past parades were a huge success.  We would like this one to be even greater!  We feel this is an important means for our citizens to show their support for our country, our current troops and those veterans who have fought and died for our freedom since 1775.
On behalf of our Auxiliary and the City of Safety Harbor, we would like to extend, to your organization, a special invitation to participate in this year’s Parade!
Enclosed please find a parade entry form.  If your organization is interested in being a part of the Safety Harbor parade and American history please fill it out completely and return to me no later than

June 1, 2018!

THIS FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND SENT TO ME.  NO FORM, NO ENTRY.

By returning this form as soon as possible, we will be able to review your entry and secure your line-up space and number.  You must have an active e-mail address.  You will be notified by e-mail when your application has been received.  Line-up positions and further directions will be e-mailed after the application deadline.
If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at 727-744-3672.  For a quicker response, please contact me by e-mail at ALAUXBurgess@hotmail.com.   Thank you for your consideration.
